From Curious to Club Leader

Date: 5 August 2026 (Various times)

Have you ever thought about starting a coding club but felt held back by "tech-timidity"? Whether you’re a teacher, librarian, or parent, this workshop is designed to take you from the "What is it?" phase to a confident Club Leader.

In this one hour session, we will cover:

  • What is Code Club?
  • Why join Code Club?
  • What happens at Code Club?

No prior coding experience is required—just an interest in helping kids create with technology.

Getting started with Scratch

Date: 12 August 2026 (Various times)

Join us for an exciting introduction to Scratch! If you’re a beginner who wants to learn the fundamentals of Scratch programming and how to use it at your club, this hands-on one hour workshop is perfect for you.

You'll explore the basics of programming and how to create fun, interactive projects using the Code Club paths. The workshop is also a great way to refresh your knowledge.

Unplugged: Building coding skills without devices!

Date: 19 August 2026 (Various times)

Discover the power of offline learning at your Code Club! This hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone looking to build foundational programming skills without using screens or devices. Learn how to introduce core computing concepts—like algorithms, sequencing, and loops—through fun, physical games and interactive activities

No technical experience required — just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm to take coding off the screen!

Creating a welcoming space for everyone at your Code Club

Date: 26 August 2026 @ 12 pm BST (British Summer Time)

Hosted by Helen Baron from the UK Code Club team, this workshop features Code Club leaders and a parent sharing practical ideas for making sessions accessible. You'll hear tips on everything from choosing the right projects to supporting young people with additional needs.
