Description

Learn how to build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment. This course is for young people aged 4-7, 8-10 and 11-13.

Join us for an exciting hands-on coding session at Harrow Code Club!

This week, children will explore creative coding projects using Python and Scratch, developing problem-solving, logical thinking, and digital creativity skills.

🤖 Ages 8+ – micro:bit with Python
Children will create an Active Assistant using the micro:bit and Python. They'll learn how to:

  • Program a micro:bit using Python
  • Use buttons, sensors, and the LED display
  • Create an interactive digital assistant
  • Develop computational thinking and coding skills

📖 Ages 5–7 – Scratch Coding
Children will create an "I Made You a Book" interactive project. They'll learn how to:

  • Design digital stories and animations
  • Use Scratch coding blocks
  • Create interactive pages and characters
  • Develop creativity, storytelling, and sequencing skills

Our sessions are suitable for beginners and children with previous coding experience. Children learn through fun, hands-on activities in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Please note:

  • All attendees must have an adult with them
  • Remember to bring your laptop with you
  • You must book a place to attend
  • Please don't come if you are feeling unwell
